Silicon plant in Iceland. 

PCC Bakkisilicon hf is designing and building a silicon metal plant in Iceland with an annual capacity of 32,000 tons. The estimated project cost is $300 million, with the first stage already completed and the overall commissioning scheduled for 2018.

The plant is expected to start operation using MGV electrodes from CJSC «EPM - Novosibirsk Electrode Plant». The first lot of electrodes was shipped from Novosibirsk in September, 2017.
