EPM GROUP AND NSTU SIGN A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Novosibirsk, October 5, 2020. EPM Group and Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU), in the presence of the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District, have signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the sphere of education, industry, science and innovation.

Within the framework of the agreement, the parties have created  the necessary conditions for continuous training of the EPM Group's personnel reserve in accordance with international standards. This will ensure a constant inflow of high-level specialists in the field of high-tech production to the Group's enterprises.

Every year more than fifty people will be trained under the programs for undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and advanced vocational training. At present, the first stream of students is gaining knowledge on the basics of electrode production at the Department of Chemical Technologies of Carbon Materials.

The agreement provides for joint research and development work in promising areas of scientific development using both the university's and EPM Group's infrastructure.

“The specialist training project with subsequent employment makes a significant contribution to solving social and educational problems in the Siberian Federal District,” commented Vadim Golovko, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.

“EPM Group is a unique backbone company in the Russian carbon and graphite industry. The availability of educational programs that provide specialized industry knowledge is a crucial foundation for the development of highly qualified personnel and the further development of the company as a whole. At present, the Group employs 87 graduates of NSTU, and we are extremely interested in long-term cooperation,” highlighted Nikolay Naumov, General Director of EPM Group.
